Børilden Studio

My name is Ben Børilden. I hold a Master's degree in chemistry from NMBU and currently working as a Process Engineer at GE HealthCare. I have a passion for well most thing computer-related, gaming, photography, and of course chemistry. Børilden Studio is my attempt at a project (my first project) where I share my photos, projects and maybe even my thoughts. Hopefully this will eventually grow to host my entire photography portfolio and maybe even a blog (if I have the balls for it), but for now it's just a place to share some things I'm working on and my progress on "learning" / vibe-coding my way through HTML, JavaScript and CSS. Computer stuff!

I've started to dabble in self-hosted services using Docker to deploy stuff like Immich. I do try my best at networking like using Caddy to reverse proxy this website to the Internet! All of this is hosted and deployed from my first server running on TrueNAS Scale! This website for example is hosted on my very own server!

Photography

During my university years, I decided I wanted to dive deeper into what was, at that point, just a somewhat casual hobby: photography. I bought a camera and started taking photos, though I didn't really learn much in the beginning, but I did make progress. Found that a bit intriguing? I wrote a ton about it on 'Who am I?'.

Gaming

Yes, I am a 'hardcore' gamer, I have been gaming since about 2012 (I probably started gaming closer to 7-years old tho). I can't say that this will change any time soon. I would talk on, but I think it will be a bit too long for a quick intro on the landing page, check out 'Who am I?' if you actually found me interesting.

A home for photography work from university days through whatever comes next.

Backend APIs

I have no idea what API's are, but I am sure I will add some, who the knows maybe I will make something incredible!

Calendar Platform

A really long-term project where well anyone can book time slots with me to take photos and I can accept them or not and have this integrate with my Apple / Outlook calender. That indeed would be awesome to accomplish!
